After moving to Chicago, she joined a creative agency and brought all kinds of events to life, including brand events, corporate events, brand activations, and social celebrations of every kind. She then moved to the brand side, leading events for Dyson across North America. That experience gave her the operational precision and design sensibility that set Carolyn Touchette Events apart from other Chicago wedding planners.

Her time at Dyson also made her realize she wanted to go out on her own and return to her first love, wedding planning. We tailor the scope to what you need. Typically, you keep ownership of the items you've already secured, and we step in to guide the overall design and manage the logistics that bring everything together. We can also take on one additional vendor category, chosen based on where you'd benefit from extra support.

Because every celebration is different, we'll talk through your plans on an initial call to see whether partial planning is the right fit or if full-service planning would serve you better. Partial planning is available for weddings in Chicago and for destination weddings.
